Lot Description

Early and fine pair of George I silver strawberry dishes David Willaume, London, 1715-16

Circular with fluted and scalloped edge, the center engraved with coat-of-arms and supporters below a ducal coronet and above the motto "pour y parvenier," the arms are those of Manners impaling Sherard for John Manners, 2nd Duke of Rutland, and his second wife, Lucy, with scratch number 5-2 to underside.
