Lot Description

Fine French silver and guilloché enameled box early 20th century

Circular form, the lid finely enameled with a mask depicting the green man on a radial ovoid lavender ground, flanked by silver arcs engraved and enameled with foliate sprays in blue and green, the sides enameled on a chevron ground, opening to silver-gilt interior, stamped with indistinct maker's mark (possibly Janvier Quercia), .950 standard.
