Lot Description
Fine Victorian silver tea and coffee service H.J. Lias & Son, London, 1859-60
Comprising a hot water kettle on stand (silver-plated), a coffee and teapot, creamer, and open sugar, of baluster form heavily repoussé-worked and chased with C-scrolls, foliage, and floral blossoms, each spout in the form of an eagle's mouth with mask where spout joins body, bird-form finials, raised on openworked scroll feet, the undersides with scratch numbers and engraved "390." (5).
H: 14 3/4 in. (kettle). Weighable silver: 76 oz.
