Lot Description

Sterling silver flatware service Charles Grosjean for Tiffany & Co., New York, NY, 1885

"English King" pattern, comprising eighteen each fish knives, dessert knives, place spoons; seventeen each dinner forks, fish forks, cocktail forks, luncheon knives, tablespoons; fifteen luncheon forks; twelve each dinner knives and teaspoons; monogrammed, in original fitted wood canteen, the cover of box with central plaque engraved "F.P.- M.B.A." for Mary Barton Atterbury, the interior of box lined and with gilt lettering "Tiffany & Co. Makers," the lockplate stamped "Tiffany & Co." (188).

Weighable silver: 240 oz. (excluding knives).
