Finely modeled in the form of cos lettuce, the overlapping leaves curling at the edge, the veins picked out in red, underglaze blue crossed sword marks to base; together with a late 19th century trompe l'oeil porcelain box and cover naturalistically modeled as a cauliflower, the finely modeled head of white florets within outer leaves shaded in pale green.
