Lot Description

Large pair of Sèvres style porcelain and bronze twin handled urns painted after Carel Van Falens (Flemish, 1683-1733), 19th century

Each surmounted by a domed cover with acorn finial, the turquoise glazed baluster form urn mounted with ram's mask handles issuing foliate tendrils joining the rim, finely painted with gilt framed vignettes depicting hawking parties opposite a landscape, each signed "Wouvermans", one with CVF monogram, raised on conforming socle and square base.
