Lot Description
The clock surmounted by a finely cast bronze model of Zeus holding the infant cupid, after Emile Boyer and signed "Boyer" in cast, raised on a three part architectural black slate case, each section flanked by gilt columns, the center section inset with circular dial enameled with Roman hours, mounted with bronze reliefs depicting Bacchic putti to each side and volutes supporting Zeus masks to each end, the movement signed "L. Japy Fils"; the candelabra each mounted with a patinated bronze figure of a classicaly draped maiden signed in cast "Boyer", the figures standing before a gilt bronze standard issuing five acanthus wrapped arms and surmounted by a seated greyhound finial, all raised on a stepped gilt bronze and polished slate base.
