Lot Description

Minton majolica sweet meat server circa 1864

Surmounted by a putti holding a chisel and hammer and standing beside an anvil, raised on a shortened column molded with volutes and Triton masks and supporting three tortoiseshell glazed shell form bowls, raised on flared foot, the foot ring impressed "Minton", "906", with date cypher for 1864 and other marks.

H: 12 1/4, W: 10, D: 10 1/2 in.
