Lot Description

Two silver academic and masonic jewels and an American military silver shoulder-belt plate one with maker's mark, "wf," possibly for william faris (1728-1804) or william forbe

s (1751-1840) The first, a silver masonic jewel depicting an architectural arch on stepped plinth, all enclosing the letter "G" perched atop triangle, maker's mark to verso; the second, engraved on one side with crossed quills and the initials "CMS," the other side with open book; together with a silver shoulder-belt or hat plate, of oval form engraved with eagle perched on anchor surrounded by thirteen stars.
