Lot Description
A group of four Sino-Tibetan thangkas 18th century
comprised of one depicting the arhat Pantha in the center stretching his hands surrounded by another arhat, Manjusri, and Hayagriva, one depicting the arhat Kanaka to right center lifting a bowl, surrounded by three other arhats and Hayagriva to top right and bottom left, one depicting the arhat Pindola seated over a covered deer, joined with five other arhats and Hayagriva to top and bottom right, and one depicting the arhat Pindola to left center, joined by Hayagriva on horse to bottom right, Guhyasamaja with his consort to top left, and another arhat to top right, each painted to depict figures and landscapes in bright hues, mounted over brocade fabrics (4).
