Lot Description

A large Chinese bronze figure of Manjusri 19th/20th century

seated on a double-lotus base with one leg raised, holding the vitarka mudra in one hand and the other gently falling over the raised knee, carrying a serene expression, dressed in open robes and adorned with beaded jewelry and draped sashes, flanked by an openmouthed beast to side, streaks of gilt remain on robe and to base.
