Lot Description

Mamluk underglaze painted pottery vase Syria, circa 14th century

Tapering bulbous body with a short neck mounted with twin handles, painted in cobalt, black and turquoise underglaze to show a frieze comprised of panels stippled with dots enclosed by three vertical bands; together with a footed bowl painted in cobalt and black with vertical lines above a star to the well; and a small lustre glazed pottery jar. (3).
