Lot Description

Two French belle epoque gilt bronze figures Auguste and Mathurin Moreau, late 19th/early 20th century

The larger depicting a standing nude loosely wrapped in drapery, one hand resting on reeds as she peers down at a dove below, raised on circular base signed in cast Ate. Moreau, and further marble plinth; the second depicting a standing nude loosely wrapped in drapery and holding aloft a lyre, signed in cast Math. Moreau Hors Concours, raised on fluted columnar form marble base. (2).

H: 15, D: 5 1/4 in. (largest).
