Lot Description

Large Coptic textile tunic fragment circa 5th-7th century A.D.

The transverse band with two pairs of dancing figures under an arcade, surrounded by a border of stylised animals, the clavi decorated with dancing figures above stylised animals, a separate portrait medallion mounted between, mounted on hessian and framed and glazed.
