Lot Description

Egyptian helmet and cuirass circa 1840-60, of the Khedive of Egypt's bodyguard

Both French made, the steel and brass helmet surmounted by a crescent finial and mounted with sliding noseguard in the form of an arrow, with out-turned neck guard, chinguards suspended from roundels embossed with five pointed stars, and camail of butted rings, together with a steel and brass cuirass.
