Set of eleven Rutherford B. Hayes (President, 1877-1881) Presidential Pattern oyster plates theodore russell davis (american, 1840-1894) for haviland & co., limoges, france,
circa 1880. Each polychrome and gilt decorated, with five oyster-shaped recesses, marked to verso: "Fabriqué par Haviland & Co. d'après les dessins de Theo: R. Davis"; "H&Co./L"; and "Design patented August 10th 1880" with emblazoned eagle to underside of rim.
