Circular form, each finely painted with a chevron border suspending floral festoons to the rim, the center with gilt foliate border encircling a named bust length portrait of a royal or aristocratic woman from the 18th century French court, in various color grounds including pink, purple, yellow and blue, the base with spurious Sèvres marks, marks for Château de Dreux, the purple ground plates marked Château de Tuileries, and painted with retailer's mark and title.
