Oval form, mounted with upturned handles, finely painted to the rim with vignettes depicting Chinese figures, animals and fish, the interior with floral sprays encircling a central medallion with a banner bearing the Clan Moffat motto Spero Meliora above an eagle and the stylized letter L, the sides with two further medallions, the undertray similarly decorated.
