Lot Description

Wedgwood majolica cheese dome and stand last quarter 19th century

Decorated in the Luther pattern, the dome surmounted by flattened knob finial encircled by eight ribbed white glazed radials continuing to brown glazed lattice molded panels, the sides molded with panels containing plants in archaic vessels and lattice panels against a cream ground, on conforming stand, the dome signed underglaze, the dish also signed to underside and impressed Wedgwood, date cypher likely for 1884.
