Lot Description

English Majolica urn, possibly Minton second half 19th century

Campagna form, the beaded and egg-and-dart molded rim above grapevines encircling the body, molded with scenes depicting the battle of the centaurs above a floral and foliate border mounted with twin handles issuing from mask heads, raised on a fluted spreading socle with shaped collar and further mottled square form plinth.
