Gelatin silver print with collaged photograph and applied graphite crop marks, ink and paint.

note:
Each collage was created for an issue of American Crime Magazine between 1920-1935. Both were exhibited in 1987 at Pace/Macgill Gallery, New York, New York. Gerald Chapman was an early Prohibition-era gang member who was the first criminal to be dubbed "Public Enemy Number One" by the press.
