Lot Description

A gilt bronze figure of Avalokiteshvara qianlong mark

The four-armed bodhisattva sits over a lotus base with legs apart, hands in harina mudra, wearing an open robe adorned by a beaded necklace and loose sashes, carrying a serene expression; seven character "Daqing Qianlong nian zaozhi" mark carved to front above the lotus base, three characters "Fen Nu Mu" carved to front below lotus, and four characters "De Xing Gen Ben" carved to back; unsealed hollow base.

H: 6 1/4 in.
