Lot Description

Three Russian silver yad torah pointers late 19th century

The first of tapering cylindrical form with twisted rope applique to upper body, bulbous form to top and middle, the top surmounted by an eagle and engraved with a Star of David, the middle with turquoise cabochon stone, pointer finger at terminal with cobalt blue semi-precious stone, assay master Viktor Vasilyevich Savinsky, Moscow, 1873; the second with square form standard with two bulbous forms at each end, the lower half of tapering cylindrical form, assaymaster Josef Sosnkowski, Warsaw, 1878; the third of cylindrical form with twisting applique to body, makers mark indistinct.
