Lot Description

Silver plated presentation fireman's horn or speaking trumpet late 19th century

Engraved allover with floral sprays, the midsection with central engraved arrangement of fireman's accoutrements, the bell with inscribed dedication within leafy cartouche: "Presented to the Neptune Engine Co. No. 2 of Scranton, PA by the Good Will Engine Co.-No.3 of Allentown, PA Oct. 5th 1899," the body with two applied carrying rings threaded with tasseled red cord.
