Of oval form, the cavetto decorated with alternating repoussé grape and flower clusters joined by leaves and C-scrolls, the applied cast scrolling floral rim continues to twin foliate handles, all raised on conforming base supported by four acanthus leaf and scroll feet, with engraved dedication: "MHB from P. Clendenen Sept. 1st 1849," marked to underside of base.
