Biographical & explanatory text by John Nichols. Folio, contemp black morocco & marbled bds, spine gilt, a.e.g.; spine rubbed, joints crudely repaired. With 156 engraved plates on 117 sheets + the 2 suppressed plates mtd at back, tissue guards. Title repaired, a few repairs & light to moderate foxing to text, light to moderate foxing mostly to plate margins. From the original plates restored by James Heath.
