French gilt bronze mantle clock "Hunter and Dog" paris, mid-19th century, dial signed c. detouche
The circular porcelain dial with Roman numerals and breguet hands, the dial signed "C. DETOUCHE Fseur DE L'EMPEREUR, RUE St MARTIN, 228-230, A PARIS." within a shaped gilt bronze case, modeled with an acorn, oak leaf, and branch motif, surmounted by a hunter with his dog and rifle in tow, the eight-day countwheel-strike brass movement stamped "C. DETOUCHE, 228 R. ST MARTIN. 230, 22959 BREVETE S.G.D.G.", stamped "418" and "Japy Freres & Co." circular medallion, the back of the case stamped "22959 LHB", several elements of clock stamped "30".
