Lot Description
Fine French gilt and patinated bronze and marble clock garniture ferdinand barbedienne, paris, circa 1900
The circular white enamel dial with Arabic numerals, signed "F. Barbedienne AParis", the movement bearing Vincenti Medaille d'Or pastille, the square verde antico marble case with banded edge and bronze anthemion mounts raised on fluted tapering legs; surmounted by a bronze model of Hebe atop Jupiter's Eagle, signed George Bareau (Georges Marie Valentin Bareau, French, 1886-1931), and inscribed F. Barbedienne foundeur; together with a pair of conforming gilt bronze and verde antico marble six-branch seven-light candelabra, well-cast to show flowerheads, anthemion, and scrolls, raised on paw feet; the candelabra fitted and wired for electricity, but not drilled.
