Important Louis XVI lacquerwork, featherbanded kingwood, and gilt bronze mounted side table martin carlin, circa 1770-80, possibly incorporating earlier japanese lacquer
The rectangular lacquered top with gilt foliate designs framed in featherbanding of kingwood inlays and gilt bronze egg and dart molding, the sides mounted with gilt bronze guilloche inset panels within featherbanded borders, one side enclosing a drawer, over four square tapering inlaid legs, underside stamped JME M.CARLIN.
