Lot Description
Fine and large Italian gilt bronze and micromosaic cross on stand early 20th century
Centered by a depiction of Jesus within a circle and with winged angel heads at the corners, each of the four ends of the cross inlaid to show one of the four Gospels within a circle, the rest of the cross inlaid to show doves and Greek symbols within yellow lozenges, surrounded by yellow, blue, and gold tesserae arranged to show stars, set into a gilt bronze base, on marble plinth.
