Color Lithographic Proof. Martin, Henry A., pub after Martin, William A.K. "U.S. Ship Wyoming." [Ambler, PA, ca 1907.] Approx 12 3/4 x 17 in; 320 x 430 mm. Very slightly & evenly toned. Only issued as proof. Framed.
Launched in 1859, the USS Wyoming of the U.S. Navy, fought in the Civil War and in searching for the the USS Alabama in the Pacific, engaged Japanese forces and achieved the first ever U.S. naval victory over Japan in the Battle of Shimonoseki Straits.
