(Birch's Philadelphia Views.) Hand-Colored Engravings. Birch, W[illiam]: "The House Intended for The President of The United States in Ninth Street, Philadelphia." Philadelphia, 1799. 1st ed. 11 1/4 x 13 in; 285 x 330 mm, wide (full?) margins. Light to moderate toning throughout, a few small dampstains, professionally repaired 1 1/2 inch vertical tear from bottom center edge to the letter "P" in Philadelphia below image, small areas of paper loss at bottom left blank margin edge, light crease in image. Snyder 13. * "Bank of the United States, in Third Street, Philadelphia." Philadelphia, 1799. 1st ed. 10 3/4 x 13 1/4 in; 273 x 335 mm, wide margins. Laid down & conserved on archival paper sheet, lightly to just moderately toned, light mat burn, occasional minor spotting, paper loss at upper blank margin corners & occasionally to blank top edge. S 17a. Both with orig color.
