Lot Description

Four hide-covered Sioux hand drums fort yates, north dakota, early to mid 20th century

The first, with leather and wooden beater, the head decorated with painted green border; the second, with wirework and wooden handle, has pencil drawing of a sailor on underside of head, and cloth and string covered beater; the third, decorated with white circles enclosing five pointed stars with wire and cloth handle; and the fourth, decorated with eagle and flag and "USA", with sheet metal sides and shaped wooden handle.
