Lot Description
An impressive silver centerpiece compote hallmarked "eb," probably gorham & co., providence, ri, circa 1860
The shallow round bowl with beaded rim and four realistically cast and applied ram's heads joined by repoussé swags draped beneath floral clusters, the twin applied and outscrolled handles with central berry branch, all raised on a fluted columnar pedestal stemming from a circular base supported by four scrolling acanthus leaves.
