Lot Description

Federal inlaid mahogany tall case clock roxbury school, ma, circa 1800

Arched molded cresting surmounted by pierced fretwork and three brass ball and spire finials, the center with an eagle, arched face door flanked by two fluted inlaid columns with brass stops, arched painted metal face in cream enamel with cornucopia in arch and floral corners, Roman numeral chapter ring, center subsidiary seconds dial above the post and date crescent below, waist door with arched molded edge flanked by quarter round inlaid and brass stop fluted corners, a small recessed panel below, base with applied square molded panel and dart inlays at corners, on straight bracket feet.
