Federal inlaid mahogany tall case clock thomas harland (1735-1807), norwich, ct, late 18th/19th century
Double scroll cresting with pinwheel inlays, block inlays below finials and to the top of the waist, arched face door flanked by slender columnettes, arched moon phases, white painted face, back Arabic numeral chapter ring with subsidiary seconds ring above the post, floral painted corners, arched lip molded fan and oval inlaid waist door, quarter round fluted ebony corners, base inlaid with circular "sun" and corner fans joined by panel inlays on straight bracket feet.
