Lot Description

Three Mettlach glazed and etched stoneware steins 1892-1894

All with pewter thumblifts and lids, the largest etched with maidens and heraldic shield (#1161); the second largest a 4F stein designed by Schultz inscribed "Gut-Heil" (Good Health) with figures of athletes, the body signed Schultz 1888 (#1851); the shortest designed by H. Schlitt depicting cavalier and barmaid with keg, and motto in celebration of the drink (#2065), each with impressed Abbey marks, form numbers and date codes.
