Baluster form, the hinged cover with maiden-form finial and inscribed "Wer nicht liebt Weib, Wein und Gelang, der bleibt ein Narr lein Leben lang!", above ornately molded and boldly painted neck worked to show Bacchic motifs, shield form cartouche, and foliate scrolls, the body with panel showing a boisterous tavern scene and inscribed "Aus dem Feuerquell des Weines, aus dem haubergrund des Berhens, sprudelt gift und - fufze Labung, sprudelt Srhones und - Gemeines, narh dem eig nen Werth des Berhers, Narh des Trinkenden Begabung!", raised on circular foot.
