The spruce top with 2-piece maple back, neck and sides, ebony fingerboard, the interior bearing paper label "John H. Roberts, Maker, Asheville, N.C. 1920" and repair label "Repariert von Paul Konig, Geigenmacher, Altona (Elbe) 1922", together with bow stamped H.R. PFRETZSCHNER, with molded plywood and canvas carrying case.
