The domed spiral-fluted cover over spiral-fluted neck, the body finely painted to show a maiden in diaphonous robes, surrounded by winged putti with roses, signed "Georges Poitevin", well-cast acanthus scroll handles, raised on spiral fluted socle, inset into well-cast gilt bronze base incorporating drapery swags, rosettes and guilloche frieze; inscribed around rim to underside of foot (obscured by mount).
