The openworked cover surmounted by a profuse bouquet of flowers with insects, the body encrusted with numerous large colorful flowerheads, fruit, and insects, surrounding on one side a scene of three eighteenth century figures in a bucolic landscape, on the other with a gilt monogram surmounted by a crown flanked by winged cherubs holding a floral garland, raised on circular foot with applied figure of a maiden with a basket of flowers; underglaze blue crossed swords mark, incised "B.C." and impressed number 163 to underside.
