After Pierre Eugene Emile-Hebert (French, 1828-93) "oedipe"

Patinated and gilt bronze, representing the Riddle of the Sphinx, the standing classical male figure is shown partially nude, in his right arm he raises a cloth to reveal a winged female sphinx.
