Lot Description

Assembled Georgian silver flatware service london, first quarter 19th century

"Old English Thread" pattern, comprising eighteen each dinner and luncheon knives, tablespoons, and dinner forks; seventeen luncheon forks; fourteen teaspoons; four each sauce ladles and stuffing spoons; and one punch ladle, in fitted wood canteen. The terminals with engraved crest of a lion's gamb erect emerging from a mural crown, possibly for the Steer family. Various maker's marks including William Traies, Thomas Wallis II & Jonathan Hayne, William Chawner, and William Eley. (112).
