Fine and rare Austrian hammered silver and ivory five-piece tea service josef hoffmann for the wiener werkstätte, 1923
Comprising a teapot, cream jug, covered sugar bowl, sugar tongs, and tray, of lobed hammered design, the teapot and cream jug raised on circular foot with ivory spacer, the ivory handles finely carved in a double scroll, and the covers with stylized pine cone finials, with interlaced WW mark, JH monogram, Austrian duty mark, and rose trademark, 900 standard.
