Lot Description

German silver cruet set augsburg, 1802, possibly carl bitzel

The frame of oval form raised on four acanthine-capped feet, fitted with two cobalt glass bottles set into reticulated stands and raised on lion's paw feet, the caps with rampant lions each holding a cluster of grapes and linked to an obelisk enclosing a lamb seated on a rock.

H: 12 1/2, W: 12 in. Weighable silver: 38 oz.
