"Research Notes, Harvard Laboratory Photography Vision, etc. Color Stills." June, 1919-1932. 3 vols. 4to, orig. cloth & bds. 142, 131, 140pp, inserted ms graphs & a few material samples, only a few pp of notes after 1924. With Kalmus, Comstock & Wescott labels turning these ms over to the Technicolor M.P. Corp. on Nov. 10, 1925. Each vol. with ms. title page signed by Troland. * Kienninger, J.F. "Technicolor Motion Picture Corp. Research diaries." Jan. 1926-Sept. 1929. 4 vols. 4to, orig. cloth title pages of 1926 & 1927 vols signed by Keinninger & with his ms. address of the Technicolor Motion Picture Corp., its ink stamp in the 1929 vol. Each vol. with approx. 370pp - most filled in.
Leonard T. Troland (American, 1889-1932); American physicist & psychologist, graduate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and chief engineer of the Technicolor Motion Picture Corporation in the 1920s. His manuscripts above record his laboratory work developing "Technicolor Process Number Two."
J.F. Kienninger held several photographic & cinematographic patents.
