Flaubert, Gustave. Autograph Letter Signed. Croisset, [Jan. 4, 1865.] 1p, 4to; light creasing along old folds. To Alfred Nion, Flaubert writes for news of his "fairy" play, Le Chateau Des Coeurs; desiring to demonstrate that this old form can be profitably revived, he is nevertheless pessimistic about the sucess of his play. Dated in the hand of Caroline Commanville, his literary executor. Clean & clear in archival frame.
