Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze deity 18/19th Century

A heavy cast figure of Guhyasamaja Akshobhyavajra seated together on a double-lotus base with beaded rims, clad in short dhotis and shawls with incised borders, Akshobhyavajra with a ferocious expression and bared teeth gazing down to Sparshavajra who rests in his lap with her arms around his neck, the base unsealed.
