Russian Judaica silver belt buckle assay master josef sosnkowski, 1870, maker's mark ip, possibly iosef rebenok

Shaped buckle repoussé-worked to show an angel preventing the sacrifice of Isaac. Engraved with Hebrew inscription relating to Yom Kippur (On this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you shall be clean before the Lord - Lev 16:30).
