Lot Description
Double scroll cresting with incise-carved scroll rosettes, center brass eagle finial and two brass urn and spire side finials mounted on square fluted plinths, the arched face door flanked by turn columnettes, brass moon phased face painted with man-in-the-moon and white stars on a blue field rotating disc, face painted with black Roman numeral chapter ring, Arabic numeral outer minute ring and center with Arabic numeral subsidiary seconds ring, "John Keim, Reading" with date window in center of "Reading, No 138" below, sides of outer circle painted with leaves and scrolls, the lip-molded waist door lip with arched top and inlaid with Masonic compass, angle and C, round fluted corner columns, brass escutcheon inscribed, "Long Live the Pres. G.W" and "1790" surrounded by thirteen stars, raised and carved shield shaped base panel, inlaid with 13 stars above half round "flag stripes" and carved corners below, on ogival bracket feet.
